maureen cashmore was married to my grandad albert cashmore of 59 years. they were so in love , more in love than id ever seen any couple.
they had 2 sons, les and john.
my nan and grandad have 5 grand children and 3 great grand children, who they both adore.
my nan mainly worked as a child minder for many years until she retired.
on saturday 16th jan i got a phone call to say my nan was taken into hospital poorly. i rushed back home to be with her. by the time i had got there she had had 2 fits and was now distressed and not really with it. at around 4/5am we were told my nan was dying and wouldnt last the next 24 hours. my world fell apart but i had to keep strong as i yet had to break this news to my grandad.
i got everone together and we all sat with nan. we all took various breaks in between, the last break we had was when my nan passed away. we had only just missed her going as my uncle had just arrived and he was told she was gone i arrived seconds behind him. i was gutted id missed her dying. this will be 1 of my regrets missing her going because id stayed with her all night and morning.
i think maybe she was waiting for us all go go.
we stayed with you for a few hours after. we saw you again the night before your funeral and you looked so beautiful.
your funeral was on friday 29th jan.

its a year today and we all miss you so much mum. you were and still are the most important lady in my life and cant believe that you are not here with us anymore even after a year.
